Just What I Needed

Good evening, gentlemen! All your base are belong to us!

This past weekend has been just what I needed (just what I needed), I needed someone to feed, I guess you're just what I needed (just what I needed), I needed someone to bleed. Aside from the personal and emotional side of that song, those first words describe the weekend, as you might have guessed from the [[Furlong]] diction and imagery of the passage. I played [[(movie) ¡Three Amigos! :: (character) El Guapo]] "a plethora" of video games. Video games are amazing stress relief. I put off all my homework, but it was worth it. I'm not fully procrastinating anymore, like I used to. In fact, a few assignments I've done on the day of assignment! Isn't that something? I still prefer to do menial tasks the evening before, but projects are not only done on time, they're finished significantly before they're due.

Freewriting is so relaxing. I just wish this blog counted towards my non-directed writing for English. I'd write here instead of my notebook most of the time. Speaking of English, I could revise my first draft of my second paper before Thursday's "conference". I wish I knew which directions the non-directed writings were supposed to take; I've just been freewriting the hell out of the paper and pen. I have many, many, many more pages than required, so I'll just take whatever I have in my miscellaneous notebook, and keep my journal here. I'm not writing every day, though; that's got to change. I'd give up a half hour of Counter-Strike to write. The only problem with this plan is that I'd end up making up the gaming time during sleeping time. Sleep seems to be the last priority for me. As a matter of fact, instead of freewriting and then posting this, I could've gone to bed one hour past midnight. I'll be fine tomorrow, though. Math is a class I can sleep through, and I don't have English, and Engineering is fun. I wish math was more fun. I wish Brother DiMarchi taught it. I'm going to sit in on his BC Calculus class with Alex and Ashish during Christmas break if we get the chance. I want to buy him that wall-sized "World's Largest Crossword Puzzle". It's strange that he was my favorite teacher, and I never really communicated with him outside of classwork. Herr Lynch I had for four years and as many classes, but he didn't teach math, so I guess that ruled him out. Walor and Hussey were good too, but Walor's memories are only phrases like, "Parentheses are cheap!", and Hussey is mostly, "I don't remember." I remember many, many things about Brother's class, though. Maybe I should wait a while to visit all my other teachers; I remember Herr talking about that ("Wait a few years before you come back and visit").

Freewriting is good for the mind; it has significantly lengthened my attention span, despite what Family Guy and Counter-Strike do to it.

Peace out.
